St. Agrestis Phony Negroni Series
Mocktails are the what the cool kids drink- that’s me by the way- so I wanted to one in Francesca’s Ciao Box. I came across St. Agrestis and realize it’s a native New Yorker, like myself so I had to include it. Turns out there are a variety of profiles a phony negroni can take on.
Phony Negroni: A traditional negroni has vermouth, gin, and bitter campari. This drinks resembles the aromatic nuances of a negroni without the booze. Add an orange slice to make it pretty.
Phony White Negroni: a white negroni is made with lillet blac, suze, gin and vermouth. Compared to the negroni it’s quite floral, light and lovely.
Phony Espresso Negroni: if you love espresso then you’ll appreciate the bitter punch in this phony negroni. This one reminds me of an espresso martini so serve it in a stemmed glass or coupe.
Phony Mezcal Negroni: you get the savory and smoky essence of mezcal.
